Merchandise Internship

The Chicago Wolves are hiring a full-time merchandise intern. He/she will work with the Operations Department and assist in day-to-day maintenance of the merchandise department. Ideal candidates have some experience, a willingness to learn, strong communication skills, the ability to multi-task, and to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Work with Creative Department to create apparel designs & concepts
  • Help maintain web store (chicagowolvesstore.com) through Claim The Web software system.  Includes item creation, inventory management, price adjustments, etc.
  • Receive customer orders via web store and process through Movex and I-Transact payment system
  • Receive customer orders via phone/ fax and process through Movex and Chase Paymentech card services
  • Help stock Allstate Arena merchandise stands and maintain inventory & sales through Aramark Leisure Services
  • Send quote requests for promotional give-away items and negotiate pricing/ delivery
  • Help monitor inventory levels and place reorders/ remove from inventory line as necessary
  • Help facilitate on-ice specialty jersey orders between Wolves & selected league vendor (S & P Apparel)
  • Process customer returns and assist with order issues (wrong size, defective item, pricing issues, etc.)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills required.
  • High attention to detail.
  • High energy; ability to remain focused on task-oriented goals and work independently.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines and multitask.
  • Available to work flexible hours including holidays, evenings and weekends.

Mascot Assistant

Location: Glenview, IL

Job Description:

The Chicago Wolves Professional Hockey Team seeks an outgoing, energetic and passionate professional to assist the team’s mascot program. Duties include representing the Chicago Wolves at home games and community relations, ticket sales and corporate events, including both on- and off-ice events.

Requirements:

  • Strong ice skating skills are required.
  • Previous mascot or entertainment experience is encouraged.
  • Must have the ability to work weekends, nights, and holidays as the job requires.

Graphic Designer Internship

The Chicago Wolves are hiring a full-time graphic designer intern. He/she will work with the creative services department and assist in day-to-day maintenance of ChicagoWolves.com. Ideal candidates have some experience, a willingness to learn, strong communication skills, the ability to multi-task, and to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conceptualize and produce creative for integrated campaigns on multiple platforms
  • Design for print,web, and video elements including but not limited to: advertising, marketing collateral, promotional materials, signage, web pages, ad banners, fan downloads, video broadcast and in-arena graphics.
  • Strong understanding in working with print vendors to provide press-ready artwork for production
  • Assist in maintaining digital photo archives
  • Collaborate with the creative and TV departments and other team members
  • Ability to create infographics
  • Assist in taking product shots of merchandise
  • Work home and away games

  • Represent the team in a positive and professional manner

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic/visual communications or a similar discipline.
  • Must be proficient with Mac, Adobe Creative Suite (CS6), specifically Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, and Microsoft Office (Additional knowledge in After Effects or Cinema 4D is especially helpful)
  • Strong ability to multi-task with a strong attention to detail while meeting deadlines
  • Familiarity with printing and production processes is necessary
  • Have a working knowledge or prior experience designing animation and motion graphics is a plus
  • Experience in green screen production and post-production is a plus as well
  • Familiarity with Joomla 3 CMS is an added bonus
  • Interest in social fan engagement and integration
