STAR POWER

Left wing Brett Sterling will be in the starting lineup for the PlanetUSA team while center Jason Krog and defenseman Joel Kwiatkowski will skate for the Canadian squad in tonight's 2008 AHL All-Star Game, marking the second straight season the Wolves are sending three players to the mid-season event.

--- Jason Krog: Registered two goals and an assist in Saturday's win over Grand Rapids, his eighth game this season with three or more points ... Leads the AHL with 64 points at the All-Star break, ranks second with 42 assists and is tied for fifth with 22 goals in 44 games ... Accrued 144 points (48G, 96A) in 88 games in a Wolves uniform which ranks 13th on the team's all-time scoring list

--- Joel Kwiatkowski: Leads AHL defensemen with 13 goals and shares third among
league blueliners with 34 points in 42 games ... Recorded a goal and an assist on Saturday, his seventh multi-point game of the season ... Paces the squad with a +17 plus/minus rating

--- Darren Haydar: Collected two points (G, A) on Saturday after being held to two points (G, A) in his previous six tilts ... Notched 23 points (8G, 15A) in 17 games with the Wolves this season, an average of 1.35 per contest, fourth-most among active AHL players with two or more games played ... Ranks 12th in franchise history with 145 points (49G, 96A) in 90 career regular-season matchups with Chicago

--- Kevin Doell: Netted a short-handed goal and an assist in two games with the
Wolves last week after being reassigned by the Atlanta Thrashers ... Made his NHL debut with Atlanta, posting an assist and four penalty minutes in eight games from Jan. 4 to 18 ... Tallied eight goals - seven of which have come on the road - and 16 points in 35 games with Chicago this season.

--- Brett Sterling: Racked up five points (2G, 3A) in the last three games, which includes matching a season-high with two assists on Sunday ... Ranks fourth in the AHL with 23 goals and third on the team with 41 points in 36 games ... Recorded three points (G, 2A) in 11 games with the Atlanta Thrashers this season during his NHL debut ... Ranks seventh in team history with 78 goals in 113 games in two seasons

--- Brian Fahey: Dished out an assist and posted a +3 plus/minus rating on Saturday ... Shares second among team defensemen with 10 goals and ranks third with 21 points in 44 games

--- Jesse Schultz: Ranks second on the team with 27 assists and 42 points - tied for 12th in the AHL - in 44 contests ... Shares third on Chicago with 15 goals, 11 of which have been recorded on the road

WOLF TRACKS

--- The Wolves' 31 wins through 44 games leads the Western Conference and ranks second in the AHL.

--- Chicago's .716 winning percentage leads the West Division while its 63 points ranks second to Rockford (66), which has played four more games.

--- The Wolves and IceHogs face off for the sixth time this season at the Allstate Arena on Sat., Feb. 2, at 7 p.m.; Chicago leads the season series with three wins, all of which have been recorded on home ice.

--- Chicago leads the AHL with 172 goals and an average of 3.91 markers per game through 44 matchups; the squad has netted at least four goals in 28 tilts.

--- Sixty-five of Chicago's 172 goals this season (38.0 percent) have been recorded on the power play; the Wolves rank second in the AHL on the man advantage at 22.5 percent (65 of 289).

PUCK TALES

The Wolves wives will be selling autographed Valentine's Day pucks during home games on Sat, Feb. 2; Sat., Feb. 9; Sun., Feb. 10; Wed., Feb. 13; Wed., Feb. 20 and Sun. Feb. 24. The specially wrapped pucks, which hold candy and are autographed by a surprise Wolves player, can be purchased for $10. Fans who buy a puck that has the Wolves player's name signed in gold will have the chance to meet that player after the game.
