Wolves Sign Ohio State's Somma

The Chicago Wolves have signed forward SERGIO SOMMA to an Amateur Tryout Contract (ATO).

SOMMA led the Ohio State Buckeyes with a career-high 20 goals and shared first on the club with 34 points in 37 games during his senior campaign this year. The 23-year-old forward notched a goal in four of his last five games before Ohio State was eliminated from the CCHA Tournament by Lake Superior State on March 5. He also tallied a team-high 10 power-play goals, the most by a Buckeye since 2005.

The Pittsburgh, Pa., native amassed 54 goals and 104 points in 159 career CCHA outings with Ohio State from 2007 to 2011.

The Wolves host the Oklahoma City Barons at the Allstate Arena on Saturday at 7 p.m., and again on Sunday at 3 p.m.
