Hey there, everyone. My name is Brad Hunt. I was asked to do a blog during the Chicago Wolves training camp and I am happy to do so. I have never written a blog before, so this will be fun!

You're probably asking yourself, "Who is Brad Hunt?" I came to the Wolves near the end of last season. I played 14 games in the regular season and five games in the playoffs. Let me tell you, what an awesome experience. I didn't really know what to expect. I went to Bemidji State University, which is in northern Minnesota. The whole plane ride down to Chicago my head was just all over the map. I was thinking to myself, what is Chicago like? What are the guys like? My goodness, did the answers to both of those questions ever exceed my expectations.

I arrived late on a Tuesday night (March 13) to the Residence Inn hotel and played the next night against Peoria. I arrived at the rink Wednesday morning for pregame skate. From that moment on, the guys made me feel like I had been there for the whole season. What an unreal feeling to be a new guy that doesn't really feel like a new guy, other than the nameplate over my locker that said "Another New Guy". I arrived at the rink for the game that night and it started to sink in a bit that I was about to play alongside all of these great players. Being from Vancouver, I always heard of the prospects and players on the news and I was so happy that I was getting a great opportunity to play with them.

This past summer was an exciting one for me, I signed my first professional contract with the Chicago Wolves and I am getting to play the game that I love after university. It can't get much better than that.

Training camp started Thursday and has continued through the weekend. This is also another new experience for me. This is my first professional training camp. It felt like it was the longest summer ever because I was so excited for the camp to start. Over the weekend we completed our fitness testing, a couple of practices, and a couple of intrasquad scrimmages. The guys are looking great!

Thanks so much for reading. I hope that everyone had a good weekend and have a great week.

The first exhibition game is at 7 p.m. tonight at Peoria.

GO WOLVES!!!
