Coach Bryan has been more than a coach to his team. He has continually stressed to each player that school comes first. He uses every opportunity as a teaching moment to develop the kids as both hockey players and young adults.

Christian Catalano
Age: 13
Team: Chicago Blues Bantam
Christian has a passion for the game of hockey like no other. There is never a time when he is not playing or practicing the game at home or on the ice. He recently chose to become a referee so he can still be a part of the game even when he’s not playing. He continues to give back by helping younger kids learn to skate on open skate nights.

Team: St. Jude Knights Pee Wee Coach
Coach Hank is an extraordinary coach. He is constantly looking for extra practice for the kids and ways to improve the team. He is very knowledgeable of the game, and knows what it takes to allow the kids to grow as young hockey players. His passion for the game creates a relationship where the kids look up to him and enjoy coming to practice to continue to learn and get better.

Coley has been an exceptional example for the other kids in our program. She is a consistently hard worker and she has improved her game immensely over the last couple of sessions. She is diligent, always trying to learn, and clearly skating for the love of the game. We couldn’t be more proud of her.

Shawn Kolozsy
Team: Rolling Meadows Renegades
Coach Shawn is deserving of this award for the way he gets each player involved in the game. He understands how the game should be played and has the patience to make sure that each player is having fun and develops according to their ability. I feel lucky to have my son on his team!

Stefan Radovic
Age: 10
Team: Rinkside Maulers
Position: Center
From a very early age beginning in his learn to skate class, Stefan has tirelessly worked to develop his skills. Stefan also exhibits great leadership skills, shown by his teammates voting him team captain. He is a model youth hockey player and a very worthy recipient of this award.

Team: Hoffman Estates Wolfpack
Randy makes sure to take time with all the kids individually, and really goes the extra mile for kids who are trying hockey out for the first time. All the kids in the Wolfpack program flock to him, itching to learn morre.

Charlie always gives 110%. His work ethic and leadership on our team is contagious to all his teammates. His ability to lead by example and his love of the game are why he is deserving of this awarrd.

Scot Christiansen
Team: Niles Rangers
Scot continues to give back to the community by donating his time and effort to his Rangers Squirt team and teaching learn to skate classes. Last year Scot suffered an injury during a practice that would have caused many coaches to quit. But Scot did not let this hold him back. He was seen at the rink in a cast and crutches after surgery. His dedication to the sport and Rangers organization is truly appreciated and he is very deserving of this awarrd.

November Youth Hockey Player:
Tyler Herdrich
Age: 6
Team: Fox Valley Storm
Position: Forward
Tyler’s work ethic and intensity made him an easy nomination for the player of the month. He isn’t afraid to battle 1-on-1 with a bigger player. He has a true love for the game, is very easy to coach, always gives 100%, and constantly is working to become a better playerr.

Tony Bertuca
Team: Franklin Park Panthers
Years Coaching: 7 years
Coaches Dynamites, Gold Mites, PeeWee, and helps with goalie clinics and learn to skate programs.
Tony deserves to win this award because he devotes his free time to teaching and really cares about the kids he is teachinrg.
